The National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET UG) is a national-level medical entrance exam conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA). It is held annually for admission into MBBS, BDS, AYUSH, and other undergraduate medical courses across government and private institutions in India. Prestigious institutions like AIIMS, JIPMER, AFMC, and many top-ranked medical colleges accept NEET scores for admissions.

NEET Admit Card 2025


Candidates will be able to download the NEET 2025 admit card in the month of June 2025. The admit card will be available only in online mode on the official NTA website. It will not be sent by post or any offline method. To access the admit card, candidates must log in using their application number and date of birth.

After downloading, candidates are advised to carefully verify all the details mentioned on the admit card. In case of any discrepancy, it should be reported to the NEET helpline or NTA authorities immediately for correction.

The NEET admit card will include important details such as:

  • Candidate’s Name
  • Roll Number
  • Exam Date & Timing
  • Examination Centre Address
  • Candidate’s Photograph & Signature
  • Instructions and Guidelines for the Exam Day

It is mandatory to carry a printed copy of the admit card along with a valid photo ID to the exam centre. Candidates must also follow all the instructions mentioned in the admit card on the day of examination.


NEET 2025 Exam Pattern

Candidates can check the detailed NEET 2025 exam pattern below:

  1. Mode of Exam: NEET 2025 will be conducted in offline mode using pen and paper.
  2. Medium of Paper: The question paper will be available in multiple languages – English, Hindi, Bengali, Assamese, Gujarati, Marathi, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, Urdu, and Odia.
  3. Duration: A total of 3 hours and 20 minutes will be given to complete the exam.
  4. Type of Questions: All questions will be objective type (multiple choice).
  5. Total Marks: The exam will carry a maximum of 720 marks.
  6. Marking Scheme: Each correct answer will be awarded 4 marks, and 1 mark will be deducted for every incorrect answer. No marks will be deducted for unattempted questions.

NEET Syllabus

The NEET syllabus is prescribed by the National Medical Commission (NMC), earlier known as the Medical Council of India (MCI). NEET Result

The NEET result will be declared by the National Testing Agency (NTA) through online mode in August. Candidates can check their results by visiting the official NTA website. To view the result, students must log in using their Roll Number and Date of Birth. The result will be based on the final answer key released by the authorities.

The NTA will not release a category-wise result sheet on the website, nor will it send results via offline mode. Candidates are advised to download and take a printout of their result for future reference.


NEET Application Form

Here are the complete details regarding the NEET application process:

  1. The NEET application process is conducted entirely online. No offline mode is available for form submission.
  2. Candidates must submit only one application form. Submitting multiple forms may lead to rejection.
  3. During registration, applicants should use a valid email ID and mobile number, as all important communication will be sent to these contacts.
  4. The application process includes several steps: online registration, filling out details, uploading scanned images of a recent photograph and signature, paying the application fee, and printing the confirmation page and fee receipt.
  5. A correction window is provided for candidates to rectify any errors in the form, which will be available from 24th May.

NEET Application Fee

Payment Mode: The NEET application fee can be paid online using a debit card, credit card, or net banking. For candidates applying from outside India, the fee is Rs. 8500 for all categories. The category-wise application fee within India is as follows:

NEET Eligibility Criteria

Candidates must fulfill the following eligibility criteria to apply for the NEET examination:

  • Nationality: Indian nationals, NRIs, OCIs, PIOs, and foreign nationals are eligible to apply.
  • Age Limit: The minimum age requirement is 17 years as on 31st December of the admission year. There is no upper age limit as per the latest guidelines.
  • Qualifying Exam: Candidates must have passed or appeared in 10+2 or equivalent with Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Biotechnology, and English as core subjects.
  • Minimum Marks: General category candidates must score a minimum of 50% marks in PCB subjects. For SC/ST/OBC, the minimum requirement is 40%. For PwD candidates, it's 45%.
  • Number of Attempts: There is no restriction on the number of attempts for NEET.
